The Hole In The Wall, situated on Castle Street, is a fantastic little real ale pub that I am very fond of. Promoting local ales such a Hole Hearted from the Oakleaf Brewery in Gosport, this is what a pub should be like. Old, full of character and history. With drinks such as Grandma’s Weapon Grade Ginger Beer, it is the perfect place if you need to escape Albert Road every now and then. Not only that but they also do hearty honest food. This was when a group of us went to the chilli night (£3.95), but also go in to check out their Toulouse sausages and mash, amazing….
PS: they don’t actually serve the chilli with hot pepper sauce, brought that from home…..
