The Belle Isle

One of the newer places in town, this is bought to you by the fine chaps behind the ever popular Little Johnny Russells. Towards the end of Osborne Road you can find The Belle Isle, a friendly restaurant that has a relaxed atmosphere and good food. This is also a place that pushes and promotes local values; scattered around the establishment you will find framed photos of beauty spots such as the Camber or art work done by various Southsea based designers.

The Belle has also been the venue for such events as the Strong Island birthday fundraiser for local charities and the Bored Winter Social. Another excellent option is you want to find someplace a bit different to Albert Road, definitively worth the visit. Osborne Road can sometimes be a bit hit and miss, and has certainly been under a lot of pressure since the advent of Gunwharf, but hopefully places like the Belle can start bucking the trend and lead the way for a new start for this important road.
