A cheesy contribution from friend of SFS Gareth Colwell!
“It was my birthday on Monday…which means that I had some excellent food related treats bought for me! From my parents, I recieved a load of cool kitchen gadgets from The Good Cook Shop on Marmion Road, including a new pestle and mortar, some special scissors for cutting pizza and also an EmulstirTM, a ingenious invention for creating salad dressings.
In addition to that, Jemma bought me a wonderful cheese selection box from Pong (along with some crackers and Cockburn’s Port of course). In the box was a semi-hard goat’s cheese called White Heart, a fine Cheddar and some Beetroot and Apple Chutney from Godminster Vintage…but the star of the show was the Neufchatel AOC, a Camembert-style cheese from Normandy. It was so nice I had to stop myself eating the whole lot in one go. Pong do a whole range of different cheese boxes, and it makes for a really different present for cheese lovers. I’m going for the Ultimate Pong Box next…..”
