Today was cold and wet

So sausage and mash was on the cards! Did my favourite gravy too: cider, mustard, onion and bacon….

    Hey Lou, not much to it really, use the pan you browned the sausages in, add sliced bacon / lardons and onions, fry until golden, deglaze pan with cider (I used….ahem….strongbow…), give it a good stir with a wooden spoon so that you scrape all the good stuff off the pan, add mustard (whole grain is good, failing that dijon), 2 beef oxo cubes, bayleaves and season to taste. Put on high heat for a good couple of minutes.
