Today myself and four others went out to shoot the new Strong Island clothing range of tee shirts, jumpers, bags and accessories. Such an amazing day, starting off at Viviers to buy the sea bass, followed by a rib ride to Langstone for a barbecue on the sand bank. The marinated chicken and merguez sausages were from the Med Supermarket and Abbas both on Elm Grove, keeping stuff local… The sea bass was filleted, wrapped in tin foil with an added marinade of soy sauce, rice wine, garlic, ginger, sugar and coriander to steam in. Three minutes on the heat and you are done. Quick pint in the Haslar Light Boat on the way back, with the obligatory drink in the Bridge Tavern and the Belle Isle once ashore. I didn’t take too many photos due to being too busy pouting, looking serious and cooking whilst modelling, more to come from other sources no doubt. Watch out for this excellently local clothing range, if you love where you live you will want these. Launch night is being held at Little Johnny Russell’s on Albert Road this Thursday, come down for a free goodie bag, drinks and fun times. See you there.
