Yesterday I turned 29.
I didn’t want to make a massive fuss about it, considering next year will be the big Three-O. Instead I was more than happy to observe the time honoured tradition of the “birthday tea” at Villiers Road. Friends and family squeezing round a large table in order to tackle a smorgasboard of dishes, washed down with a selection of ales, whilst listening to WW2 jazz. Perfect.

Happy Birthday to Charlie. Wish you will have the best 29.
