Hayling Island.

Checked out the newly refurbished Ferry Boat Inn, personally I liked it for what it was; dated, dirty and cheap. With the seafront location it didn’t really matter. We all knew the food was substandard and mass produced, but after a long bike ride sometimes you just wanted a £4.00 burger and chips combo. But now that it has been done up the prices have doubled; all for your burger to be served on a chopping board and the chips to be in a separate bowl. I hate this phoney kind of rebranding, no doubt many customers will think it to be fantastic, however I’m not being fooled. Changing the carpets, putting some nice tiles up and tarting up the menu wording doesn’t stop it from being the same crap that all chain pubs produce. I’m not saying that this crap doesn’t hit the spot every now and then, because it does, but at least charge us accordingly please…
