Bitter Virtue, Southampton.

This trip has been on the cards for a little while. It’s not often that we need to leave the island for booze reasons, however Southampton’s Bitter Virtue is pretty unique. What appears to be an unassuming corner shop from the outside is in fact a treasure trove of specialist ales, stouts and beers. An outstanding establishment, shame on us for not having a pompey equivalent (gap in the market anyone?). BV offer a great choice of drinks, which can be dangerous on the old wallet; some of it is quite pricey, however completely worth it. The deposit on the bottles business is a little odd though. My New Year’s Eve is sorted in any case.
